I read on FoxSports that the NFL is going to institute a fan conduct policy. I hope they don't blow it.
I had the opportunity to go to a few Bills games growing up. I think I saw a fight break out in nearby section a couple of times. I also distinctly remember saying something particularly unbecoming of a young teenager while gesturing with one upraised finger to a Raider fan at one game.
Mature? No. Passionate? Yes.
Contrast that with the Falcons game I went to last year. I literally saw more passion and enthusiasm at a F.I.R.S.T. robotics competition in the same Georgia Dome a month or two ago. International geeks (and I say that affectionately) rocked the Dome more than NFL fans. Very sad.
I understand Goodell's concern, but if he isn't careful, in his quest to control the bottle and snowball throwing jerks, he may end up squashing passion.
