I pretty much overlooked Andre Johnson last year, though I seem to recall hearing or reading from somewhere (and then blogging it?) that if he were on a different team, he'd be a top tier WR.
Well guess what, he is a top tier WR. He tallied 850 yds and 8 TDs last year - in just nine games, including some of those in which he was playing with a sore knee.
He's had his knee cleaned out now and should be in less pain to start the season.
Andre is the type of player I like to identify because he has top 5 potential but is likely to be available at a value. Pay attention to what the sites and the mags rank him. Right now, he is a composite #7 on footballguys.com, with individual experts ranking him as high as #2 and as low as 12. Two, is a little high for a guy that hasn't shown it yet. I think 8-9 is more like it.
