I keep hearing this one, too. Sooner or later you have to believe some of it. The Jets ran the ball an awful lot last year. (491 times - seventh most.) I think Jones will still get the lion's share of the carries. Just 300 caries could get him 1200 yards or more. And he'll get his share of the goal line attempts, too, if not most of them.
Jets HC Eric Mangini on RBs
Jets HC Eric Mangini hinted at more of an RBBC approach than perhaps most fantasy GMs are expecting this year. "[Carries] will fluctuate week in and week out, and there will be different packages that the guys will be in," Mangini said. "You want to have the flexibility to adjust to whatever you anticipate seeing. You love when you have a tailback that you can split out," he added, referring to Leon Washington. No one doubts that Thomas Jones (and his $12m in guaranteed money) is the lead back but don't think a heady coach like Mangini hasn't studied tape of the New Orleans Saints' twin-RB attack.
